Wait awhile, and then wet sand the area to smooth it out. You'll want to make sure the edges where the tape was are sanded nicely so that the paint will blend correctly.

Wait awhile if the color seems a little off. Once you step back, you'll find that it looks like any other part of the car. To finish it off, use the polishing compound, and make it look good as new again. You've now repaired your once damaged vehicle all on your own.
